The views from the cottage reflect the reasons the place was chosen by artist and sculptor Dame Ethel Walker for her Studio. The cottage has the advantage, not only of the amazing sea views and position, but also of being a modern bright and roomy cottage in a beautiful old village.
The decor is modern and light, with oak floors and white walls full of local art. Visitors comment in our visitor's book on the fact that they think it is the best cottage they have been in whilst staying in the area( many have been visiting The Bay for years),they comment on the home from home feel and of course the views and outside space. A glass of something on the patio just marvelling at the views seems to appeal to everyone!
To get to the cottage you need to be able to walk the 250/300 yards through the car free streets to the cottage. Therefore the cottage, like most of the cottages in the old village, are sadly not suitable for the infirm or disabled.
